Estate Planning and Special Needs Trusts
Every family needs an estate plan – even those with limited financial resources, and especially those who may leave behind family members with special needs.  We help our clients establish estate plans tailored to protect the needs of their loved ones.  Whether a client simply needs to update an existing will or is starting from scratch, we assist with the preparation of the will, including any trusts.  We also help our clients create advance directives for healthcare – documents that express their wishes for their care or appoint another person to make healthcare decisions if they become unable to make those decisions themselves – and powers of attorney for financial matters.  If a client or a client’s loved one has a disability, we prepare a special needs trust, which can protect eligibility for Medicaid and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

If you have questions about our estate planning services generally, please download and complete the estate planning questionnaire on the “Contact Us” page or email Dan at dan@nealandwright.com

If you have questions specifically about special needs trusts, please download and complete the special needs trust questionnaire on the “Contact Us” page or email Sherry at sherry@nealandwright.com.

Are you a firefighter, police officer, or first responder/EMT?  If so, ask about our first responder discount on estate planning packages!

Probate
When a loved one passes on, the person who is named the executor in the Will or, if there is no Will, the person who has the best knowledge of the loved one’s wishes and business, must go to the Probate Court to take care of the estate.  For most people, it can be a daunting situation.  We can help clients navigate the probate process and streamline the legal process during these difficult times.

If you have questions about our probate services, please visit our “Contact Us” page or email Dan at dan@nealandwright.com.
